Wanted: thug who broke OAP’s hip

Date published: 12 February 2013

A PENSIONER had to undergo hip-replacement surgery after being violently pushed to the ground as he got on a bus.

The 70 year old was trying to board the Oldham-bound number 76 in Piccadilly Gardens on February 1.

The man was queuing with his wife when a man with a four to five-year-old girl pushed in front of them.

When challenged about his queue-jumping, the man pushed the older man in the chest.

The thug and the young girl walked off towards Lever Street, leaving the pensioner injured. He is still recovering in hospital.

Police are appealing to anyone who recognises the offender or the girl from the distinctive blue flowery raincoat she was wearing to come forward. It is believed the offender may live in the Collyhurst area.

He is described as being black, of slim build, in his mid 20s and about 5ft 6in tall. He was wearing a black jacket.

Anyone with information should call police on 0161 856 3120 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800-555 111.

Let's hope that this cretinous Neanderthal is quickly brought to book.

Tut tut Shaun, don't you know that in this brave new world, you're not allowed to call ethnic minorities names? and what would be the point of bringing him to book? As we've seen only this week the punishments handed down to ethnics is much lesser than it is for the rest of us. The only winers would be him and the greedy lawyers who make so much money from the missfortunes of others.

@Flake - do you have any hard evidence that those from an ethnic background are subject to a more lenient sentencing policy?
