Shobna joins Loose Women

Shaw’s Shobna Gulati has become the latest star to swap Weatherfield for TV’s Loose Women daytime panel.

The actress - whose Corrie character Sunita Alahan is being written out of the long-running ITV soap - said: “I’m delighted to be joining the team. It’s a show I’ve watched and loved for years.”

Executive producer Sharon Powers said Shobna would be an exciting addition to the team.

Fellow panellists include former Corrie stars Denise Welch, Sherrie Hewson and Sally Lindsay; and Carol Vorderman, Andrea McLean, Carol McGiffin and Linda Robson are also regulars.
