Van-crash shock for couple watching TV

A COUPLE described their shock as a van ploughed through their lounge window on Saturday evening.
Sharon and Paul Lomas were watching television in their Ashton Road home when the van crashed into their home
Sharon, who works at B&Q, said a vehicled smashed through the window and brought down the front of the house.
“We just jumped and ran. It came smashing in. I’ve never seen anything like it,” she said.
The garden and a wall were destroyed and even recycling bins ended up in the lounge, though neither Sharon nor Paul were hurt.
Outside they found the driver had fled. Two men were seen running away.
The property was insured and the couple were today awaiting the arrival of assessors to determine the extent of the damage and the cost of repairs.
One member of the family who had a lucky escape was Ozzy, their pet Jack Russell. He would normally have been in his basket under the lounge window, but instead was up on the couch with his owners.

What is flake on? This is not a story for such flippancy. The sudden intrusion of a vehicle into a families' home is not the a cue for sequence of puns.
Typical socialist opposed to anyone ever cracking a smile. It's not a new thing George Orwell wrote a whole essay on the socialist opposition to fun.
Nothing changes
I think Flakes medication has been changed. They are defending drivers where anything to do with bad driving is usually a cue for slating young male drivers, then this and another post today.
I saw the van in the wall and I'm not sure how it got there as the road at that point is a striaght as an arrow......
Oh come on JMTS. No one was disadvantaged beyond having their favourite television vantage point advanced across the lounge by white van man An ideal scenario for humour advancement.

Flake and Prodriver what on earth are you two on about.I cant see the funny side to this story. Whould you two be saying the same jokes if Mr and Mrs Lomas whould have been killed , which could have happened. Get a life ....these people could have been killed by this driver there so lucky to be alive.
But Mr & Mrs Lomas weren't killed if we took your attitude we'd never be allowed to laugh at anything. What about the man who slipped on the banana skin - well we can't laugh about that he might have been killed!
You actually mention in a short piece 'could have been killed' three times! - Get a life! No one was even slightly hurt, the only thing is that a few bricks were inconvenienced!
Stop being so Po faced Julie and relax a little it can't be good being so wound up all the time.
