AN Oldham mum has been jailed after defrauding 28 people on classified-ad websites out of more than £3,230.

Lynn Barker (33), of Copster Hill Road, pleaded guilty to 19 counts of fraud.

She was sentenced to eight months in prison at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court.

Nine more offences were taken into consideration.

Between November 2011, and May 2013, Barker replied to ads on Gumtree requesting concerts tickets or iPhones.

Barker convinced the victims she was genuine and, had phone conversations with some victims and sent photos of the items

She asked that half the payment up front by bank transfer to her personal account with a promise the goods would be delivered soon after.

The items never arrived.

The sentence comes 14 months after the same court gave Barker a 12-month community order for 10 offences of taking money by false representation, with five similar offences taken into consideration.
