We’ve done more than A-ok!

GCSE RESULTS: STUDENTS at Blue Coat School have celebrated outstanding GCSE results.
Three-quarters of students achieved the national benchmark of five GCSEs at C or above including English and maths, and over 90 per cent achieved a minimum five GCSE grades at C or above.
Science GCSEs were designed to be more challenging this year, but grades still rose in both core and additional science.
Results in German and French were also excellent: more than 70 per cent of the group took a modern language and over a third of all grades were A* or A.
Head teacher Julie Hollis said: “We are delighted with our students’ success at GCSE. This achievement is down, firstly, to the commitment of the students themselves. They have earned and thoroughly deserve their success.
“But they could not have done it without the support, encouragement and loving care of their parents, particularly during the tough GCSE years when there is so much going on in their lives. We also like to think outstanding teaching had something to do with it as well...”
