PROTESTERS demanding change at the zebra crossing where 12-year-old Annalise Holt was killed on Tuesday will gather at 11am tomorrow outside St James’s School - amid safety fears.
Police raised concern over the safety of the march and have moved the protest to a site still in view of the crossing.
More than 150 people have pledged to take part. Organiser Danny Shepherd hopes many will take the children along.
Protest organiser Mr Shepherd said that he was happy to accept the suggestions of the police — but won’t rest until something is done.
He said: “We think we already have the attention of the public and as long as we can get our message out that’s all we want. This protest is not the last we will see of this.”
A PETITION calling on Oldham council to upgrade the zebra crossing has now reached over 5,220 signatures.
