DISCERNING drinkers will be able to share a special brew when a popular charity beer festival launches tonight.
Super Silver Owl is the 1,000th brew from Greenfield Brewery - a “hefty” version of its best-selling CAMRA Gold Award-winning beer Silver Owl.
The new, stronger brew — 5.2 per cent ABV - uses the same hops but adds bolder American hops.
The beer is one of the real ales on offer at the Saddleworth Charity Beer Festival, orgqanised by Saddleworth Round Table at Uppermill Museum tonight and tomorrow.
Other beers to tickle the taste buds include First Chop, All Gates, Saltaire, Hornbeam, Tatton, Marbel, Copper Dragon and Boggort.
The beer festival, with headline sponsor Grasscroft Properties, opens at the museum at 6pm tonight and 3pm tomorrow.
