A 38-YEAR-OLD man has been bailed after two people were slashed outside a pub in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police were called to the Duke of Edinburgh in Market Street, Royton and found a man and woman had both been slashed several times. The victims, both 30, were taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.
The man was arrested on suspicion of two accounts of assault. Detective Inspector Lewis Hughes said: “We do not believe this was a random attack and from the investigation so far, it appears all parties involved are known to each other.”
