Huge cash haul in bank raid

THE NatWest branch in Middleton Road, Westwood, where raiders struck yesterday
TENS of thousands of pounds were stolen from a NatWest branch in Westwood yesterday evening.
Thieves removed shutters at the back of the Middleton Road bank and threatened workmen with crowbars. The raiders demanded money from staff and made off with three cash boxes.
The getaway car was abandoned and later recovered by police.
