Stamp of approval for post office revamp

COMEDY legend Jimmy Cricket joined Oldham West and Royton MP Michael Meacher to mark the revamp of Royton Post Office.

Mr Meacher said as he cut the ribbon: “The post office is a vital part of the community in Royton and I’m sure the newly-modernised office, and the longer opening hours, will be warmly welcomed.”

The branch, on Rochdale Road, was closed in April to enable its new owners to refurbish the store.
