RESIDENTS at Shawside nursing home were treated to an afternoon of music, arts and crafts as part of BUPA’s Got Talent.
The entertainment extravaganza saw staff and members of the community compete in two categories, performance and arts and crafts.
Jean Green won the overall prize in the arts section for some expert knitting while Mike Rushworth won best community performance for his rendition of Elvis’s “The Wonder of You”.
Funky Fitness and Fun performed a range of numbers throughout the day as guests revelled in the sunshine.
The winners were selected by resident Cath Stockley and Rotary Club members Derek Cotteril and Peter Lomas.
Activities co-ordinator Sue Howarth said: “It all went really really well and all the residents were thoroughly entertained.
“Everyone enjoyed themselves and it’s a great way to bring the community together. The weather held out for us as well.”
