A wheel success

MORE than 850 exhibitors — including enthusiasts from Oldham — attended the annual Hebden Bridge Vintage Weekend.
The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge, saw fabulous vehicles of all shapes and sizes appear for the show.
Despite a downpour, crowds flocked to view the stunning vehicles and enjoy a local jazz band over the two-day extravaganza.
John Anderson from Holmfirth won first prize with his 1969 Dodge Charger in the American Vehicles up to 1972 category.
There were several winners from Rochdale including Mark Foster with his 1996 Humber Sceptre and Bobby Foster with his Rolls Royce Pedal Car in the novelty section.
It took 4,000 volunteer hours to put together this annual event — now in its 32nd year — and the Rotary Club has thanked them all for making the event “fantastic.”
