Poison gas puts two in hospital

TWO people, one a 76-year-old woman, are in hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning after being evacuated from their homes in Chadderton last night.
Crews were called to a house on Moray Road after a carbon monoxide alarm was activated. Five neighbouring properties were evacuated and ventilated.
An investigation into the incident continues.
A fire service spokesman said: “A carbon monoxide alarm can be a lifesaver.”
