NICK GRIMSHAW . . . “desperate to get on with it”
BREAKFAST show host Nick Grimshaw is undergoing intensive training in an effort to set a new world record — for twerking.
The Oldham-born BBC Radio 1 star is hoping to set a duration record for the dance craze by constantly wiggling his hips and thrusting his bottom out for an entire hour.
He aims to make the attempt from 8.30am on September 30, with live coverage during his show.
Grimshaw, a former pupil of Our Lady’s School in Royton, said: “I can’t wait to be etched into the history books for such a noble, worthwhile cause. Twerking has always been close to my heart... and bottom.”
