Academy principal in line for £95,000
Date published: 29 September 2014
OLDHAM Academy North is advertising for a new principal - and is willing to pay up to £95,000 for the right person.
The job is open following former head Colette Burgess’s move earlier in the summer to run Waterhead Academy. Martin Knowles has been appointed interim principal until Easter.
Oldham Academy North replaced Grange School in September 2010, and moved to a new £16.8 million building in Broadway, Royton in April 2013.
Run by academy chain E-ACT, it was downgraded from good to requires improvement following a snap inspection by Ofsted in May.
The academy chain has been stripped of 10 of its other academies over concerns about its education standards.
