PETROL station owner Frank Pullen . . . thrilled to be nominated for award
PETROL station owner Frank Pullen has spent over 45 years going the extra mile for his customers.
But now it’s the 74 year old’s turn to feel pumped: he has been shortlisted for the Best Forecourt Assistant award in the SuperStation 2014 Awards.
Frank has owned the Lees Village Service Station for 20 years - and the Shell Garage in Huddersfield Road for 26 years before that.
He still works full time, seven days a week, checking customers’ oil and water and carrying out the dying tradition of filling up cars in all weathers.
Frank was nominated for the industry Oscar by his daughter Sue Collinge and their regional fuel rep because they believe he deserves acknowledgement for his service and dedication.
Frank is one of three people nationwide to be shortlisted for the Superstation award, for which a panel of industry specialists considers customer service, hard work and exceptional effort.
