GREENACRES Cemetery has again been a victim of local vandals.
Only weeks after the cemetery, on Greenacres Road, was cleaned up and foliage trimmed after being criticised for neglect, Michael Simms, a 34-year-old engineer found headstones smashed on the ground - one of them 100ft from its original plot.
Mr Simms said: “There are some really important people buried in this cemetery. A number of graves commemorate those involved with the two world wars and some people who helped to spark the industrial revolution.”
