Table-top sale

SPRINGHEAD Congregational Church is holding a table-top sale tomorrow.

Taking place at the church from 9am-4pm, all proceeds go towards the church. Entry costs 50p.

LOVE Lydgate hosts its monthly Monday talk — “A Saddleworth Soldier’s Part in Napoleon’s Downfall” by Mike Russell — on Monday, November 3, at Lydgate Parish Hall, from 2pm. Those attending are asked to donate £3 to support the parish hall.


THE Parish of St Chad, Uppermill, is holding a Christmas fair on Saturday, November 8, at Kilngreen Church, Leeside, Diggle, from 2pm. There will be a raffle, tombola, Santa’s grotto, games and more.


ST EDWARDS Church, Lees, is hosting an Elvis night on Friday, November 7, to raise funds for the church. Taking place at the church hall, in Spring Lane, tickets cost £8 and are available from 0161- 627 0140.


A WINE and tapas fundraiser will be held at the Three Crowns Inn and Restaurant, Scouthead, on November 26 in aid of Oldham Mountain Rescue Team, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £20. To book contact the Three Crowns on 0161-624 1766.
