Arson drama at flats

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze in Werneth in the early hours of this morning after a suspected arson attack on a ground-floor flat.
Crews from Hollins and Oldham went to Chester Street, where bins in a storage area next to the two-storey maisonette flats had been set on fire after midnight.
Nobody was injured but substantial damage was caused to the electricity box for both flats.
Two residents from the ground-floor flat escaped, as did three more from the flat above
