KIND-HEARTED Lisa Schofield was delighted to find out she would be receiving a beautiful bouquet of flowers every month this year after being nominated for the prize by a close friend.
The Chronicle, with Interflora and Miller’s Florists on Huddersfield Road, asked members of the public to nominate someone special.
Irene Sutcliffe (72) nominated Lisa (46) for helping her through a difficult time after her husband, Gordon, was diagnosed with cancer.
Lisa, who lives on the same street in Glodwick, visited Irene and helped her to deal with doctors and nurses in the week before Gordon’s death in March 2014.
“What I would have done without this angel, God alone knows,” she wrote
The competition was part of ITV show “Surprise Surprise” and their Surprise Someone Special campaign.
Lisa will receive a bouquet of flowers worth £25 every month for a year.
