Green light for park and ride

A NEW park and ride site for Shaw and Crompton’s Metrolink stop has been given the go-ahead.
Transport for Greater Manchester has received approval to turn the 0.22-hectare Beal Works site, off Beal Lane, into a car park for the tram station. The L-shaped site will have spaces for 48 cars.
