A DRUNKEN man waved a machete and threatened to cut off his former girlfriend’s head and chop her up.
Aaron Walker (32), of Seville Street, Royton, admitted to Oldham magistrates he had turned up at his ex-girlfriend’s home in a drunken rage and was shouting “If I can’t have you, no one can.”. His daughter and his ex’s new partner were in the house.
Walker initially made the threats before being escorted away by police. He phoned her and said he would get a knife and carry out his threats.
Ten minutes later he turned up with a machete 12-and-a-half-inch blade.
Matthew Treece, prosecuting, said: “When police arrived he was waving it and refused to drop it. He then had to be tasered by officers.”
Walker pleaded guilty to threatening a person with an offensive weapon but magistrates determined to send him to Crown Court for sentence.
Walker, who has been granted conditional bail, will appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on March 30.
