Lifelong Latics fan Joseph bows out at 100

SPRINGHEAD centenarian Joseph Kershaw has died less than a month after celebrating his 100th birthday.
The lifelong Latics fan and war veteran had lived at Stoneleigh House for five years. He is survived by his daughter June Drew (81), who lives in St Annes, four grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a great-great grandchild.
Joseph was born at Oldham Mumps and lived in Lees for most of his life. His wife and son died several years ago.
The funeral will be at St Thomas’s Church, Leesfield, next Tuesday (1pm).
