Boy, 14, hit by bus

A head teacher has issued a road safety warning after one of his pupils was hit by a bus on his way home from school.
The 14-year-old Royton and Crompton School pupil was hit on Fenton Street, Shaw, at around 3pm on Thursday. The boy was taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital after breaking his leg in two places. He remains in a stable condition.
Head teacher Dr Kevin O’Hagan said: “We have been circulating messages to all pupils reminding them about road safety, and have asked parents to do the same.”
