THREE Oldham services for young people have benefited from funding by Oldham Youth Council.

The three services were awarded money after successfully applying for a “Kerching” community grant last year.

Kerching aims to increase things for young people to do, by allowing groups to apply for money to create activities within their area. The youth council runs the Oldham Council-funded scheme.

Young Carers - a respite service for young people who have caring responsibilities at home; an eight-week programme at Positive Steps to provide respite sessions for young people with mild mental health issues, and OASIS, which provides a substance misuse intervention and treatment service for young people, each received £1,000
