MOTORWAY menaces will be caught out by an undercover lorry as part of a police crackdown on dangerous driving.
Greater Manchester Police dispatched officers from the GMP Road Policing Unit along the M60 to target HGVs being driven dangerously or tailgating other vehicles. The undercover truck will also deal with other offences.
The lorry is owned by Highways England and is being lent to forces around the country.
The cab is kitted out with recording equipment, footage from which is used as evidence.
Insp Paul Rowe said: “When the opportunity to use the lorry came up we jumped at the chance to use it to help keep our roads safe.
“With the roadworks on the M60 causing disruption to regular motorway users until 2017, it is important we make sure this motorway remains safe for everybody to use.”
