IT’S official . . . Great Places Housing Group is one of the country’s best places to work.
The company, which has an Oldham branch, was ranked 24th in the Great Place To Work survey.
Great Places, which has around 1,700 homes in Oldham and a regional office in Union Street, was the highest-ranking housing association in the list.
The company is a key partner in the £113 million Gateways to Oldham Private Finance Initiative (PFI), a housing and regeneration project transforming neighbourhoods in the town.
Great Place to Work is an independent organisation which ranks UK companies on what they are like as employers and how they are trusted by their employees.
A large part of the rating was calculated via a survey in which Great Places’ staff were asked to share their views on a range of matters including whether they trusted and felt supported by management, the team environment, and whether they took pride in their jobs.
The ratings were revealed at a ceremony held at the Westminster Park Plaza in London.
The accreditation process is also a chance for Great Places to check staff views on all sorts of issues and continue to improve the way that it operates.
Great Places’ chief executive Matthew Harrison said: “Staff are the greatest asset we have and we are thrilled to be listed in the Great Place to Work rankings for the third year running.
“It is testament to the hard work and camaraderie among our workforce across our six regional offices.
“Having engaged, happy staff ensures that we can continue to deliver on our vision to create great homes and great communities — driven by great people.”
