Greater Manchester Parking Problems

DOZY parkers of Oldham beware — there’s a Facebook group ready to catch you out.

“Bad Parking Greater Manchester” invites people from across the region to share their best pictures of the worst parkers around.

Dave Moon, from Hyde, set up the group in the hope that it may result in an improvement in Greater Manchester’s parking after growing tired of the problem.

Dave said: “I started this page mainly just to let the community engage in shaming the cars they see parked wrong, and share their photos for a bit of mutual disdain.

“I have quite a bank of pictures already that I am going to release over the next few weeks, but for the page to continue it will come to relying on contributions from the public

“The aim of this is to improve people’s parking habits, at least on a local scale.

“When awareness is increased through social media it has been proven to make a difference in the real world and that is how I hope this might turn out.

“Also, it’s simply a good place for people to poke fun at something that winds them up.”
