RECKLESS... the car speeds into the wrong lane to overtake

SHOCKING video footage of a car pulling dangerous overtaking manoeuvres and running a red light in Royton has outraged road users after being uploaded to YouTube.

The video shows the black Volkswagen Polo overtaking on the wrong side of the road and driving straight through a red light on Broadway at the junction with Elk Mill Central Retail Park.

Despite the mad move, the reckless driver doesn’t get very far, stopping metres later in traffic at the next set of lights.

The footage, uploaded to Youtube by Dash Cam Network under the title “Drive it like it’s stolen, red light jump (Royton)”, was recorded at 7.30am on May 27, with the uploader saying it has now been passed to police to investigate.

Viewers of the footage voiced their outrage in the comments section of the site.
