Demand for action over pub
Date published: 22 June 2015
FIREfighters are calling for action after arsonists targeted a derelict pub in Fitton Hill for the fifth time in a week.
They want better security at the former Fytton Arms to prevent people from breaking in and putting their own lives and those of the fire crews at risk.
Crews spent three and a half hours tackling flames coming from the roof of the building, in The Green, last Saturday. Since then, they have returned several times after debris was set alight inside and outside the pub, which closed several years ago.
