THE home of Shaw-born “Cheshire housewife” and reality TV star Ampika Pickston was the target of a terrifying raid by an axe-wielding masked gang.

Three raiders — who also brandished a hammer and a knife — forced their way into “The Real Housewives of Cheshire” star’s plush Hale home, threatening the housekeeper and stealing £70,000 worth of valuables.

Greater Manchester Police said the intruders dragged employee Lesley Khan upstairs demanding to know here the safe was. Then they grabbed high-value items - including a £35,000 designer watch - jewellery, perfume and handbags. They also took the keys to Mrs Pickston’s caa, later found dumped nearby.

The 33-year-old former glamour model shot to fame after appearing on the reality TV show, which focuses on the lives of rich Cheshire housewives. She was raised by her father in Shaw.

No arrests have yet been made following the robbery and detectives are appealing to anyone with information to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111.
