Tommy murder suspect held

A MAN charged with murder following the death of Tommy Bilton in Oldham has been remanded in custody until he appears in court in February.

Matthew Gregory (23), of Horsedge Street, Oldham, is also accused of assault and violent disorder.

He appeared at Manchester Crown Court yesterday

Shortly after 3.55am on August 15, officers were called to Ashton Road, Oldham, and found 19-year-old Tommy and a 23-year-old man with stab wounds. The 23-year-old sustained serious injuries and is still in hospital, but 19-year-old Tommy died later that day.
