Convert bike miles into prizes
Date published: 01 September 2015
OLDHAMERS are being invited to saddle up and take part in a cycling challenge.
Transport for Greater Manchester wants volunteers to sign up for the Life on 2 Wheels Cycle Challenge, from Thursday until October 2. The aim is to get more people on bikes.
Participants will be rewarded for the number of cycling journeys they make, not how far or fast they can cycle. All cycle journeys logged will count towards a personal total, with riders earning “bike miles” which can be exchanged for offers and vouchers.
Cyclists can also add their journeys towards their workplace total, with prizes available for the top three workplaces which log the most cycle journeys during the challenge.
