WORLD champion whistler Dave Morris is captivating a new audience... as the mystery performer behind a unique new visitor attraction.

Dave, from Dobcross, provides a colourful range of musical classics as backing tracks for the animatronic Whistling Oyster at the famous Guinness Storehouse attraction in Dublin.

The whistling oyster has become a visitor favourite since the opening of the Storehouse earlier this year. The centre tells the story of the famous Irish brewery and includes a celebration of famous Guinness and Oyster advertisements used in the 1930s.

Dave was given a VIP reception when he visited Ireland’s capital and hosted a special whistling masterclass for delighted visitors at the Storehouse, which has been named Europe’s top tourist attraction in the World Travel Awards.

He told the audience: “It’s fantastic the Guinness Storehouse is celebrating the art of whistling through the permanent feature of this exhibit. I was delighted to give the oyster a catchy whistling tune to amuse visitors,” he said.

Visitors to the attraction can hear a repertoire of Dave’s tunes, including “The Rhythm of Life”, “I Do Like to be beside the Seaside”, the William Tell overture finale and “The Irish Washerwoman”.
