Public urged to help funding bid

TWO Oldham community groups have been shortlisted for a share of £81,000 - and are calling on the public for help.
Santos Football Club and Adventure Based Learning are in the running to receive a £500 donation as part of Skipton Building Society’s Grassroots Giving campaign. Of 304 shortlisted, only 162 will receive money.
Santos, which promotes “football for all”, gives young people a chance to play football at grassroots level. Run by parents, the club says £500 would provide new equipment.
Adventure Based Learning is looking for votes to help to create an allotment both as a therapeutic space and as a meeting point for families.
Votes can be cast at www.skiptongrg.co.uk until October 12.
