SHOCKED shopkeepers rushed into a precinct car park yesterday after a truck wrecked a police car.
The vehicle rolled backwards and collided with the stationary police Vauxhall parked off Huddersfield Road, Oldham.
The front of the police car was severely damaged after the Isuzu glanced off another parked car.
No-one was hurt in the incident but the other vehicle, a red Fiat 500L, had a shattered rear window.
Harry Sheriff (20), was in a cafe close by and heard the crash. He said: “I ran to the back door and saw the truck had hit the police car. It seemed to be jammed against the front of the vehicle.”
A breakdown vehicle later removed the police car
