OLDHAM-BORN actor Bernard Cribbins has picked up another award.
He stars in CBeebies show “Old Jack’s Boat”, which won the Pre-School Live Action award at the Children’s Baftas.
Bernard (86) plays Jack, the owner of a multi-coloured boat called The Rainbow in the children’s TV series that has run since 2013.
The Children’s Baftas took place at the Roundhouse in London, where stars from the children’s entertainment industry gathered for the ceremony.
Bernard worked at Oldham Rep for 10 years from the age of 14 and is also well known for his work as the narrator of “The Wombles”, and appearances in the Carry On films, “The Railway Children”, Hitchcock’s “Frenzy” and “Dr Who”.
