NP Manufacturing - closing
JOBS are being axed at an Oldham firm which makes sealing products for the storage tank industry.
Up to 14 people face redundancy at NP Manufacturing in Hill Street, Greenacres, because production is being transferred to other factories by Texas-based company HMT.
In a statement, HMT's chief compliance officer Wendy Knight told the Chronicle: "We are restructuring our manufacturing facilities globally. Unfortunately, our NP Manufacturing facility in Oldham will be closed as part of this consolidation.
Fewer than 15 people work there and we are grateful for the many years of dedicated work and excellent performance by them.”
HMT has two other British sites, in Motherwell and Bromley, among facilities worldwide.
