ONE of the UK’s top club acts will be making a rare appearance in Oldham over the May Bank Holiday weekend.

In what Tokyo Project Nightclub say is a "huge coup", MC, producer and entrepreneur Tom Zanetti will take over the venue on May 1 with his collaborator DJ K O Kane.

Tom Zanetti, who hails from Leeds, made his name with a string of club hits, like “Darlin” and “Eargasm” and is known for his Insomnia Club nights, residencies at Club Mission in Leeds, and the popular Made in Leeds festival among many others.

His own Sleepin' Is Cheatin’ promotions company now runs club nights and events across the UK and abroad, as well as selling Tom and Kane’s music through the SIC Records label along with branded goods.

At the age of 26, Tom has his own TV show on the new Made in Leeds channel, a modelling career and an army of 25k followers on social media.

Managing Director of Tokyo Industries Aaron Mellor said: “We promised everyone we’d bring some big acts to Oldham and Tom is one of the most talked-about guys on the club scene right now. His shows across the UK are selling out almost as fast as they go on sale, so we’re looking forward to a really buzzing night.”

Doors open at 9pm. There will also be a choice of House, RnB, Madchester Indie, Chart Classics and Dance Anthems going on across the Tokyo Project club rooms, courtesy of DJ Nazz Kay of House of Correction, former Castle DJ Bill Murray; DJ Lordz, DJ Hodgy, DJ Nginge and James Barry Williamson.

Tickets are available for collection on site at the Roscoe Street venue, or online via TicketWeb & Skiddle.
