STARS of TV and stage, as well as football legends will take to the hallowed turf at Boundary Park this week in a charity football match.

Tomorrow, Oldham Athletic’s SportsDirect.com Park will play host to the event, which is aiming to raise money for Once Upon a Smile and Prostate Cancer UK.

The charity, founded by Daniel Jillings and Danny Miller, gives support to families that have lost a parent or child by providing financial and respite support and has the backing of a host of celebrities and football legends.

The celebrity football team plays a host of games with and against football legends across the country.

Football heroes including the likes of Andy Ritchie, Denis Irwin, Paul Murray and Paul Scholes will be facing stars of Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Eastenders plus the likes of X Factor star Jake Quickenden, Ralf Little and Cel Spellman of CBBC Chart Show fame in a fundraising game for the charity and Prostate Cancer UK.

Oldham’s Masterchef winner, Simon Wood, will also be turning out for the charity team.

Entry is only £1 on the night, with kick off at 7.30pm and the charity is hoping a bumper crowd will help boost the crucial services the charity can help with.

Advance tickets can be purchased from www.onceuponasmile.org.uk/ or from the Oldham Athletic ticket office.
