DEDICATED dancers showed off their signature skills when they took to the stage as part of Dance Splash.

Over 20 groups of talented toe-tappers, aged four to 25, took part in the showcase at the Oldham Coliseum.

The aim of the event, which was back following a two-year hiatus, was to showcase routines from dance schools, community groups and dance companies from across Greater Manchester.

Organised by Oldham Sport Development, the groups were able to meet with performers from different backgrounds, while strengthening links between dance providers and the local community.

Hannah Worley, dance teacher and development officer, said: "This was an open event and we invited all dancers whether they were from classes in the community and church groups to dance students and dance academies.

"For many it was their first chance of performing in a real theatre environment.

"It was a really inclusive event and we've had brilliant feedback from the dancers so we are hoping to run it again next year."
