Tahlia takes fairytale trip fit for a princess

RISING TV star schoolgirl Tahlia Cooper had a great time croaking around with her latest co-star - a frog!

The Leesfield Primary School pupil, who last year appeared in McDonald's Christmas ad campaign and was filmed for the BBC's FA Cup promotion trailer back in January, gladly took the plunge with the acting amphibian while filming a TV advert for Coop Switzerland, the country's largest supermarket.

In fact she also got to work alongside pigs, ducks and an otter in the commercial which was shot to promote the supermarket's eco products.

Tahlia (8), from Lees, was plucked for the role through her agent, Signature Management, in London, and flown out to Hamburg to make the commercial.

Her mum Louise Brown said it wasn't just the frog that made the whole experience like a fairytale; the entire trip was magical.

"Everything was paid for and Tahlia was treated like a little princess," said Louise, who says she and Tahlia's dad, Scott Cooper, are exceptionally proud of their daughter.

"She even had her own private chauffeur. It was amazing.

"In the commercial she plays a granddaughter and while her grandmother is shooing pigs out of the house Tahlia is seen reading on the sofa. She's then seen upstairs playing with a doll and frog.

"She was fine with it, in fact she had a great time. The frog behaved well and there was an animal trainer on set all the time as there were a lot of animals in the ad."

You can also check out Tahlia in another supermarket advert due to be shown for the first time on October 3.

Although we can't reveal the name of the well-known retailer involved we can say it is to promote its Halloween range.

"She had a really good time filming on the Halloween commercial," added Louise.

"It's a party scene with lots of other children and she had lots of fun dressing up in Halloween outfits.

"She absolutely loves what she's doing. We're very proud of her."

Tahlia will also be appearing in a park scene in Sky 1's Mount Pleasant comedy drama, starring comedian Bobby Ball, next Tuesday evening.
