Man cut free after crash

A MAN was taken to hospital after a crash in Uppermill in the early hours of Sunday.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to free the man from the car which had collided with a wall and lamp-post in High Street.
The man was taken my ambulance to Royal Oldham Hospital after he was freed from the blue Volkswagen Golf estate.
Two pumps from Oldham and a special technical rescue vehicle from Ashton attended the incident at around 1.30am.
The man was treated and taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service.
Police are investigating the incident.
