Family safe after fire

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a chip pan fire in Glodwick in the early hours of this morning.
Crews from Oldham and Chadderton attended the small kitchen fire at Becket Meadows at 1.30am.
The family, including a mum and children, had escaped the house, with firefighters quickly extinguishing the blaze. No injuries were sustained.
