MANCHESTER United could receive bids worth around £20million for midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin when the transfer window opens next month.

Premier League rivals Everton and West Brom are both said to be interested in taking on the former Southampton star, who has barely managed any time on the field this season for the Old Trafford club under Jose Mourinho.

Schneiderlin, a France international, appears to have not impressed Mourinho, who has plentiful options available to him in midfield.

Paul Pogba joined the club from Juventus in a world-record £89million move in the summer and Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini are players that have been chosen ahead of the 27-year-old.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman is known to be keen on Schneiderlin and could make a move not only for the midfielder, but also his United team-mate Memphis Depay.

The former Saints star was regarded as one of the finest defensive midfield players in the country a couple of years ago and West Brom could also be tempted to enter the race, with money available to manager Tony Pulis for team strengthening.

United travel to Everton on Sunday, hoping to use the momentum gained by the midweek 4-1 home win over West Ham in the EFL Cup to earn three points at Goodison Park which could help Mourinho's side push closer to the top four.

Anthony Martial scored two goals against the Hammers and will hope to retain his place in the side, as will former outcast Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has impressed on his return to the starting line-up.
