In-form Milner will be a formidable foe at Anfield

SOMETIMES it can be frustrating watching Manchester City.

I thought that was the case during the game at Hull for an hour or so.

City absolutely dominated possession, and were creating chances, but they couldn't seem to put one away.

In the end the fans will have breathed a sigh of relief as city scored three in the final 20 minutes and so it was another three points in the bag.

Yaya Toure was brilliant again, as well as Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling, and now the team has set up the New Year's Eve game at Liverpool brilliantly.

What a game that's going to be. City will have Sergio Aguero available again following suspension, and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw him thrown straight back into the side.

It's going to be a difficult one. Liverpool really are flying at the moment.

They showed their quality during the victory against Stoke.

Every player is fighting for one another, they've got pace and flair in the team, and in James Milner, Liverpool have got a top player in great form.

I remember James well from his time with City.

He's got an unbelievably positive attitude to the game and he always give 100-per-cent.

He's a genuine down-to-earth guy and he's a real team player.

City would probably rather have him in their team as opposed to playing against him right now, but things have moved on and he's fighting for the red of Liverpool now.

TREAT

I think the game at Anfield will provide a treat for all football fans.

A final thought for this year, and I guess it was no big surprise to see Bob Bradley lose his job at Swansea the other day.

Eighty-five days in a position is hardly anything, but if teams don't get the results, managers know they're on a slippery slope.

You can try to get your team to play nice, attractive football, but it's all about the results.
