Seagulls provide first test

NEWLY-PROMOTED Brighton provide Manchester City with their opening-day test in the 2017-18 Premier League season.
Chris Hughton's Seagulls, who finished second in the Championship behind Newcastle United, host City on Saturday, August 12.
City's first home game takes place seven days later, with Everton the visitors to the Etihad, while August ends for Pep Guardiola's men with another trip south to face Bournemouth.
Fans will have to wait until December 9 for the first Manchester derby of the league campaign at Old Trafford. The return fixture is on April 7.
Manchester United welcome West Ham United on the first day of the new campaign.
Jose Mourinho's side follow-up with an away test against Swansea, before the 2015-16 Premier League champions Leicester City head North on August 26.
United face Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea in the space of three weeks.
