Phoenix at the double

MANCHESTER Phoenix edged a double-header over the Newcastle Vipers — twice emerging 3-2 victors.
On Boxing Day, they shrugged off the loss of Brett Clouthier, sent off for fighting, to lead 3-0 by the end of the first period through Luke Fulghum, Lucas Burnett and David Beauregard.
On Saturday, Manchester came from behind to win 3-2 thanks to player-coach Tony Hand, Kenton Smith and Burnett.
