ALL attention is on the Capital One Cup final for City and I’m really looking forward to going to Wembley Stadium again this weekend.

It really is a special football venue and I can’t get enough of it. Of course, City missed out on the big cup finals for many, many years, though there were still visits in the Full Members Cup in 1986 and then the Division Two play-off final against Gillingham in 1999 – what an incredible day that was.

These days we’re used to playing down there – over the last few years City have made it to three cup finals, the Community Shield game and of course a couple of FA Cup semi-finals.

We’re travelling down on Saturday and I’ll be laying the kits out in the dressing room on Saturday afternoon, then of course it’s match-day on Sunday.

Hopefully City will win against Sunderland, then there’s some kind of a reception do in London on Sunday evening, before we return home on Monday. All in all, I’m expecting a terrific weekend!

Gus Poyet has come out and said he fears his Sunderland team could be embarrassed by City, but that’s just paper talk – he’s just trying to take the pressure off his lads and put as much as he can on ours.

City should have enough to beat Sunderland, though. Certainly on paper, our squad is much the stronger of the two.
