Fullalove takes backstroke silver

SWIMMING: OLDHAM’S Commonwealth Games swimmers Jessica Fullalove and Jessica Lloyd both wrapped up a good British Gas international meet in Manchester with positive results.
Royton-based Fullalove (17) earned a silver medal in the 200m backstroke just behind winner and current British champion Lauren Quigley.
In her final competitive race before the Glasgow Games from July 23, Fullalove led through the first 100m before Quigley charged home to win in 2 minutes, 10.43 seconds with Fullalove on 2:14.06.
Diggle’s Lloyd (19) and Fullalove swam a freestyle relay team which emerged victorious, and Lloyd also won with the medley international relay team.
Both girls now head for the Commonwealth Games training camp in London at the end of next week.
